Selectah does not collect anything.

That is the whole policy, but Apple asks for a page, and you deserve the detail, so here it is in full.

What Selectah does with your music

When you choose a folder, Selectah reads the audio files inside it to measure tempo, musical key and energy, and reads the tags they already carry — artist, title, genre, BPM, key. All of that happens on your Mac, in the app's own process. No audio, no tags, no filenames and no folder paths are sent anywhere.

What it stores, and where

Selectah keeps a cache of its measurements so that re-scanning a folder does not repeat work it has already done. The cache holds the file's path, size and modification time alongside the tempo, key and energy it measured.

It lives on your Mac, in one of two places depending on which build you have:

• Mac App Store build — inside the app's sandbox container, at ~/Library/Containers/app.selectah.Selectah/.
• Direct download — at ~/Library/Application Support/Selectah/, with a diagnostic log at ~/Library/Logs/Selectah.log.

Deleting those folders erases everything Selectah has ever stored. Nothing is kept anywhere else.

Network access

Selectah opens one network socket: a local web server bound to 127.0.0.1, on a random free port, protected by a token generated fresh each time the app starts. It exists only so the app's own window can talk to its analysis engine, and nothing outside your Mac can reach it.

The app makes no outbound connections at all. It has no analytics, no crash reporting, no update check, no licence server and no account.

Files Selectah writes

Only where you tell it to. When you apply a plan or export a set, Selectah creates folders and puts links, copies or the moved files inside them, under the folder you chose. Every run records what it did so that Undo can put things back. Selectah never deletes or overwrites your music: when a name would collide, it renames rather than replace.

Children

Selectah is a tool for DJs and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be a narrowing of that, and it would be announced in the app's release notes.
